CHARACTER PROFILE: THE KIDNAPPER Name: Unknown (The Kidnapper) Age: 25 Character Traits: He has a lot of self confidence and is very streetwise. He knows a lot of people and is popular, but for all the wrong reasons. He was previously part of a gang and has just been released from prison, he is very intimidating. Appearance: White British, approximately 6ft tall. Occupation: Unemployed, in debt. Background: He came from a rough family who didn’t have a lot of money and were very low working class, his mother and father separated when he was very young and he has no memories of his father. He didn’t have many friends and he left school at the age of 14. Hobbies: He enjoys and is addicted to gambling, he is often involved in crimes. Character Purpose: He is the character who kidnaps Sophie at the beginning of the film, he holds her hostage in a dingy garage. Sophie’s best friend, Emily, receives a phone call from the kidnapper and in order to release and keep Sophie safe, she is convinced to complete a series of timed tasks.
